What We Collect

Minimal by design. The MSP Playbook is primarily a static site. We don't have user accounts, comments, or login systems.

Information You Voluntarily Provide

  • Email address — if you subscribe to our newsletter via Buttondown. We only use this to send you the newsletter. We never share, sell, or rent it.
  • Anonymous MSP reviews — if you submit a review via our form. These are published without any identifying information.

Automatically Collected

  • Aggregated page views — via Google Analytics 4 (GA4). We can see which pages are popular, but we cannot identify individual visitors. GA4 anonymizes IP addresses by default.
  • Search queries — our client-side search runs entirely in your browser. No search data is sent to any server.

What We Don't Collect

  • No cookies for tracking or advertising
  • No user accounts or profiles
  • No IP logging (GA4 is configured to anonymize)
  • No third-party tracking scripts (except GA4)
  • No fingerprinting or device identification

Newsletter Data

Newsletter subscriptions are managed through Buttondown, a privacy-respecting email platform. When you subscribe:

  • Your email is stored securely on Buttondown's infrastructure
  • You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email
  • We never access your email for any purpose other than sending the newsletter
  • We do not build profiles, segment by behaviour, or track your reading habits

The MSP Playbook contains links to external sites (Glassdoor, Fair Work Ombudsman, company websites, news articles). We are not responsible for their privacy practices.

Your Rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the GDPR (if you're in the EU):

  • Right to access — ask us what data we hold about you
  • Right to deletion — ask us to delete your data
  • Right to unsubscribe — every newsletter email has an unsubscribe link

To exercise these rights, email hello@mspplaybook.reviews.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we'll note it in our changelog.
